We just had to share some pics from an intimate wedding we designed for Cailee + Douglas ... we love the deep red, crimson and merlot colours layered on top of black lace and saphire blue of the girl's dresses way too much!!
The wedding ceremony took place in the afternoon at the Rose Garden at Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Guests gathered later in the Old Library to celebrate with Cailee + Douglas over drinks and a dinner reception!
The flowers we designed with consisted of garden roses, orchids and dahlias ... that's it! What a luscious, bold and textural palette ... so much fun!

The bridesmaids wore lovely sapphire blue dresses ...
For the intimate dinner reception, our wrought iron twiggy trees were all covered in red mokara orchids and basked in the candlelit glow of hanging glass lanterns!

In September we spent three days producing a suite of five different 'scenes' to inspire and excite you about all the dreamy possibilities for your wedding ... we're over the moon to finally be able to share them with you!
This daringly romantic scene features our rich and dramatic 'Passion' colour palette paired elements from our 'Twiggy' collection.
We just love these custom wrought-iron twig trees loaded with red mokara orchids, hanging glass lanterns punctuated with black 'egg' vessels loaded with red garden roses!
The bride's bouquet features the-most-incredible lady slipper orchids which look mind-blowingly amazing against the black lacy details of her dress.

Our little Helen finally married her Steven this weekend ... and we were absolutely delighted to be a part of their Big Day at Queen's Landing in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Helen came to us because she connected with our work ... she also quickly became a friend and confidant. A total kindred spirit! We love it when those magical little friendships blossom because it makes doing 'our thing' for the wedding extra special!
The oh-so-romantic shades of red, burgundy and cerise that comprise a palette we like to call Passion featured prominently in Helen + Steven's wedding day floral decor. Garden roses, orchids, pink/red hydrangeas, pink pepperberries and some off-beat elements such as pomegranates, chestnuts and curly willow appeared in spades.
We knew we had nailed it when Helen (still in her PJ's!) came running barefoot into the Ballroom giving us all exuberant hugs of appreciation ... and we hadn't even finished our floral installation yet!! Helen + Steven ... it was our great privilege to be a part of your wedding celebration ... we're sure it was some sort of divine appointment!
This was Helen's bridal bouquet ... loving those amazing orchids and gorgeous garden roses!!! A perfect match to the detailing her in dazzling wedding dress ...
Helen's bridesmaids carried slightly smaller coordinating bouquets ... they really rocked against their black dresses!
Helen + Steven's wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful glass encompassed Atrium at Queen's Landing.
Guests later returned to the Atrium for cocktails followed by an evening dinner reception in the Grand Georgian Ballroom. Once the Ceremony had taken place, we created this large floral piece underneath the chandelier in the Atrium ...
In the Grand Georgian Ballroom, we installed various elements of floral decor including table centrepieces and number of oversized 'branchy' pieces made of curly willow, orchids and our glass bell lanterns!
We really appreciate Helen's quirky sense of humour ... case in point: her and Steven's fascination with Squirrels. Hilarious! They even went so far as to procure a boat-load of Squirrel Nut Zippers candy for their wedding ... apparently we missed out on these little delights as kids.
Steven made this great photo booth vignette replete with pictures of their doggies ... we hear it was a hit with guests lined up to pose!

Wow, November is here already ... and we're back after after a much needed weekend off!
We'd like to send best wishes out to Calli + Tim who were wed this weekend in a lovely Niagara-on-the-Lake wedding ceremony at The Pillar and Post, one of the Vintage Hotels.
It's starting to get a little chilly outside, so these love-birds tied the knot upstairs in The Gallery Room before sending their guests on a tour at a local winery and then rejoining them for cocktails and an evening dinner reception in The Upper Canada room ... brilliant!
Passion was the colour palette of the day ... featuring deep tones of burgundy, deep crimson and black. Hydrangea, garden roses, amaranthus, red mokara orchids, pepperberries and smokebush comprised the majority of the florals we used in our design.
Calli's passionately red bridal bouquet ... yes girls, those are peonies you see in there ... in November!!

The indoor wedding ceremony took place in The Gallery Room upstairs at Pillar and Post ...
Cute sign found on the door of the Bridal Ready Room ... love it!
The reception centrepieces were a mix of tall glass pedestals with flowers at the top alternating with flowers and a dark brown pillar candle with a glass hurricane at the top.

We were loving the rich, deep colours and textures of Melissa + Dave's wedding flowers this weekend ... lots of 'Ooooos' and 'Ahhhhhs' around the studio!!!
Vineland Estates Winery (if you've never been) is just one of those amazing places where everything somehow seems richer, fuller, more vibrant ... that's why we absolutely love working autumn weddings in The Carriage House! Melissa + Dave's wedding was no exception ... a beautiful intimate affair for twelve guests!
The colours of the flowers we were working with prominently featured our Passion theme in shades of deep red, burgundy and cerise. Luscious and romantic!
Don't these colours just knock your socks off??? Unbelievable! Notice the little fluffy detailing on the stem of Melissa's bouquet ... we affectionately referred to it as a 'tutu' around the studio all weekend! A perfect match for the ruffles on Melissa's wedding dress ...
This tablescape looked amazing ... there were five larger pieces tied together with some pedestal glass and candles and some crazy vines and woody twigs! The bride made the cute little matching place cards for each of her guests ... brilliant!
