Christina + George tied the knot in an afternoon wedding ceremony in the Atrium at Queen's Landing in lovely downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake! Afterward, guests were invited for evening cocktails and to celebrate with them in the Imperial Ballroom over dinner!
Pale tones of blush and ivory with accents of pale peach, light creamy yellow and pale lavender were all in the colour palette for the day. A very modern vintage / English garden theme featuring lace, chargers, brown chiavari chairs, mercury and clear footed glass.
Blooms included peonies (of course!!!), roses, delphiniums, lilacs, ranunculus and ... wait for it ... baby's breath! Yup, it's baaack.
We had a ton of fun designing the ceremony in the Atrium ... the couple provided the oh-so-cute Hers & His night tables that we incorporated.
The centrepieces were a mix of short full floral compotes (flanked by our Dutz glass candlesticks with ivory pillar candles) and tall Venture glassware capped with a full floral underlaid with mercury glass votives.

Torontonians Hazel + Huy made Niagara-on-the-Lake their destination wedding location this past weekend!
After tying the knot in an afternoon wedding ceremony in the Atrium at Queen's Landing in lovely downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, Hazel + Huy invited their guests back for evening cocktails and to celebrate with them in the Grand Georgian Ballroom over dinner!
Muted tones of blush, butter, light purple, ivory and soft green were the colour palette for the big day ... a very Mid-Summer Night's Dream feel! Hazel was so excited about her bridal bouquet and gushed about how 'we must've read her mind' ... we love it when that happens!!! :))
We used soft and romantic blooms such as garden roses, antique green and white hydrangeas, blushing bride, pieres and even some seasonal mint foliage, japanese painted fern fronds and variegated hosta leaves from our organic cutting gardens!
Hazel's awesome and textural bridal bouquet ... one of our favourites!!!

Was that summer that just flew by?
It's hard to believe it's already September in just a couple of weeks ... already beginning to look, feel and smell a bit like fall. Maybe we'll just call it 'late summer' for now ... no need to rush things!!! Late summer happens to be my favourite time of year ... mostly because of all the saturated tones and rich, deep colours that come out!
Tara + Shawn's Niagara winery wedding at Vineland Estates Winery is a great example of what I love about late summer. Peach dahlias, majolica spray roses, pink cymbidium and red mokara orchids, pink garden roses, various hydrangeas (peegee, antique green, white), celosia ... all of these goregous blooms went into Tara + Shawn's florals. The colour palette could be described as watermelon with warm tones of burgundy, blush, salmon and champagne. Very relaxed and 'of the earth'. We even picked lots of the foliage from our own cutting gardens here at the studio ... peegee hydrangeas, antique green hydrangea, mint, fern fronds, clematis vine and more.
This closeup of the bride's bouquet gives you a good idea of the colour palette we were working with ... watermelon with warm tones of burgundy, blush, salmon and champagne!
Tara's bridal bouquet ... delicious!
The colour matched bridesmaid's bouquets ...
The Vineland Estates Winery Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery is an amazing stone room with a bank of windows across the east wall facing out over the vineyards with the Niagara Escarpment in the background ... one of our most favourite places to celebrate a Niagara wedding!
Tara + Shawn's wedding ceremony took place outside on the north deck ... we created twin oversized arrangements to flank the ceremony area. We're loving our giant earthy chocolate vessels for these florals!
These centerpieces were definitely our favourites this weekend ... lush, full florals ... they looked quite at home in the Carriage House!
Our best wishes to Tara + Shawn ... and cheers to late summer weddings in Niagara's wine country!

We absolutely love working in Niagara on the Lake ... this little town is so full of interest and charm that it naturally enhances anything we do here!
This weekend, for Kristin + Ryan's wedding, we were excited again to work at two of our favourite venues ... Queen's Landing and St. Mark's Anglican Church. Two amazing venues for an equally amazing couple!!
We were working some fantastic late summer blooms to pull off a sophisticated, yet romantic and classic feel. The white chair covers with stem green bows and matching stationery were a perfect backdrop for the flowers.
Kristin + Ryan are two beautiful, genuine souls ... truly meant for each other and it was a pleasure to be a part of their wedding celebration!
Kristin's gorgeous bride's bouquet …
The coordinating bridesmaid's bouquets ...
We simply adore St. Mark's Church ... this beautiful old-stone church dates back over 200 years ... a lot of history here. Not just a history of religion or love ... but of the founding of Canada!
We hope Ryan doesn't mind us posting this pic of him holding Kristin's bouquet ... he was busy assisting her into the car and walked off with her bouquet ... so cute!
We designed a mix of tall and short full-floral centerpieces for each of the guest tables in the Grand Georgian Ballroom ...
Kristin + Ryan's 'Sweet Heart' table ...
Our resident wedding stationery guy, Mark, created menus, place cards and seating plan for Kristin + Ryan ...
We're not sure who provided this scrumptious cupcake tree ... unfortunately (for us) we didn't get a sample ... but it sure looked amazing!

Shannon + Kirk tied the knot this past weekend and celebrated in style at the lovely Pillar and Post (one of the Vintage Hotels) in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario! It was a perfect May Saturday afternoon to get married in Niagara's wine country.
Bliss was the colour palette for the day ... featuring muted tones of antique green, ivory, warm blush and light peach. To achieve this 'modern vintage' look, we chose flowers that have a particular rustic, heritage appeal ... garden and standard roses, dahlias, antique green hydrangea and peonies! We piled on the old-world charm by incorporating fern fronds, heuchera and even some oregano sprigs from our organic cutting gardens!
Shannon's bridal bouquet ... soft and romantic yet full of interest and texture!
This close-up of Shannon's bridal bouquet gives you a really clear visual of the Bliss colour palette.
We're crazy about the details ... we tied in this funky custom-made ceramic 'button' detail to Shannon's bouquet stem. Something borrowed, something blue ...
Shannon and Kirk's intimate wedding ceremony took place outside in the Rose Garden at the Pillar and Post ... a gorgeous, if not downright hot, afternoon to get married!
The cutest flowers girls ever ...
