Before all of this fabulous spring weather we've been having recently, we started our look back at some of the best moments of the last year's wedding season! Here's part 3 in the series of our favourite bridal bouquets from last wedding season ... enjoy!
Luscious Bride's Bouquet ...
This wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty Canada!
Alyssa + Jay's wedding was jam packed with luscious and intense colour ... bright and bold tones of deep pink, red and burgundy ... the girls wore stunning peacock blue dresses! A feast for the eyes.
The floral colours borrowed heavily from our ‘Spirit’ palette and featured oodles and oodles of peonies, garden roses, orchids and pink hydrangea ... mmmmm.
See the whole wedding here.

The bridesmaids bouquets looked absolutely delicious against their peacock blue dresses!

The scrambling roses on the Vineyard Retreat were in full bloom ... just perfect!

Mid-Summer Night's Dream Inspired Bouquet ...
Muted tones of blush, butter, light purple, ivory and soft green were the colour palette for the big day ... a very Mid-Summer Night's Dream feel! The bride was so excited about her bridal bouquet and gushed about how 'we must've read her mind' ... we love it when that happens!!! :))
We used soft and romantic blooms such as garden roses, antique green and white hydrangeas, blushing bride, pieres and even some seasonal mint foliage, japanese painted fern fronds and variegated hosta leaves from our organic cutting gardens!

The maid of honour carried this pretty bouquet ...

The couple were married in an afternoon ceremony in the Atrium at Queen's Landing ...

Earthy + Textural Bride's Bouquet ...
The color palette for this wedding was 'Forest' featuring shots of caramel and butter with accidental indigo, deep pink and mango tones and loads of texture.
To accomplish the 'look and feel', we designed with green mums, garden roses, viburnum, hydrangea, cobra lilies and gardeny bits (from our Studio's organic cutting gardens!) including mint, heuchera and japanese painted fern.
See the whole wedding here.

Above: Bride Erinn's bouquet. Below: The bridesmaid's each carried a unique bouquet!

How we love the cute raspberries tucked in this bridesmaid's bouquet!

The bride and groom ... after just having tied the knot inside (during a torrential downpour), exit the Vineyard Retreat and the sun comes out ... on cue!! Matt's expression says it all.

Modern Vintage Bridal Bouquet ...
Deep purple, rose, champagne, burgundy and muted magenta were all in the colour palette for the day. A very modern vintage theme featuring classic glassware and pewter accents such as our hammered-rim votive holders, pewter linens and silver chiavari chairs.
Blooms included purple vandas, dazzling dahilias, roses, picasso callas, white and antique green hydrangeas, curly willow and toad lily plucked straight from our studio's organic cutting gardens!
See the whole wedding here.

The *Made with Love* Bouquet ...
While we were dreaming up our most recent photo / film shoot, we were really focused on some specific words and phrases such as ... 'local', 'heirloom', 'hand-made', 'authentic', 'community', 'nature', 'living in the moment' ... we followed our heart and really let these words become our mantra to guide us through this project.
At it's heart, *Made with Love* is a story about beauty, friendship, connection and kindred spirits ... it's a story that is about more than just a theme or colour scheme ... it’s about more than a schedule of events or formalities and pretense.
See the whole photoshoot here or watch the short film we made!

We hope you enjoyed our looki back at some of our favourite bridal bouquets from last wedding season ... we're really exited about all of the wonderful love stories we're going to be involved with in 2012!!!

A couple of weeks ago, we started our look back at some of the best moments of the last year's wedding season! Here's part 2 in the series of our favourite bridal bouquets from 2011 ... enjoy!
Bold + Beautiful Bouquet ...
We absolutely love colour ... for Chloe + Herbert's wedding we really punched it up a notch and took full advantage of a palette featuring intense shades of cobalt blue, magenta, deep pink, deep purple and fucshia tones.
See the whole wedding here.

Flirty + Fragrant Bridal Bouquet ...
The dreamy tones of our 'Glow' palette featuring soft yellow, ivory and cognac set the mood for this wedding, while the garden roses, white hydrangeas, tulips, heaven-scented lily of the valley and peonies did all the heavy lifting design wise!
See the whole wedding here.

Noel's hat pin from his days in the Canadian military provided the emblem detailing on Jennifer's soft yellow bridal bouquet! Check out the cute bouquet 'collar' ruffles ...

Organic + Textural Bride's Bouquet ...
We were excited to design the organic, texture-laden, earthy and informal flowers for this wedding. The colour palette followed shades of medium pink, silver/grey, white, deep taupe and blush.
We brought in so much texture by using curly willow, hydrangeas, garden roses, calla lilies, orchids, celosia, dusty miller, air plants, pink protea and Hens 'n Chicks (fresh picked from our studio cutting garden!!!).
Pretty in pink ... love, love, love the Hens 'n Chicks in there!!!
See the whole wedding here.

Purple Bride's Bouquet ...
Purple was still a huge colour in 2011 ... this wedding featured hues from our 'Breeze' colour palette ... mainly purple with acents of green and white/cream and a touch of butter.
Flowers we designed with included green and white hydrangeas, stunning purple Vanda orchid blooms, dahlias, roses and pieris. Quirky elements included cork logs, Manzanita branches, giant slabs of walnut and canning jars with oodles of glass candlelight!
See the whole wedding here.

The Jonathan Adler Inspired Bouquet ...
In the last summer of 2011 we worked with Cynthia Martyn Events Inc. to put together a wedding day design inspired by a favoured designer (Cynthia chose famed housewares and accessories designer Jonathan Adler as her muse)
The feature appears in the Winter/Spring 2012 issue of WedLuxe Magazine ... pages 68 - 70.

4 February 2012
It that time of the year when we look back at the best moments of the last year's wedding season! We're going to start with some of our favourite bridal bouquets from 2011 ... enjoy!
Classic + Romantic White Bouquet ...
Here's a fun fact: our bride Andrea is a wee bit famous! You might have seen her on Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds and Blue Bloods ... or you might know her best as Dennis Leary's ex Janet Gavin on Rescue Me. Andrea is originally from Southern Ontario and she flew back to Niagara from LA to tie the knot with her producer fiancé, Todd Biermann.
Flowers in her predominately white bouquet included lavender foliage, white calla lilies, garden roses, freesia and white lisianthus .. we wrapped and pinned the stem with a length of lace.
See the whole wedding here.

Earth + Textural Purple Bouquet ...
This wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty Canada!
The flowers in Ariel's bridal bouquet were purple local dahlias, lavender, lavender foliage, butterfly bush and japanese painted fern from our organic cutting gardens here at the Studio. The stem was wrapped in jute with a handmade ceramic button finishing it all off!
See the whole wedding here.

Sunny Yellow Bride's Bouquet ...
Flowers in these bouquets consisted of garden and standard roses, gerberas, craspedia, orchids, yellow callas, and gardeny bits such as heuchera leaves, japanese painted fern, mint and scented geranium from our own organic cutting gardens!
Reanne's bridal bouquet in yellow featured a special pendant detailing on the stem!
See the whole wedding here.

Dazzling + Dramatic Red and Pink Bride's Bouquet ...
Rebecca's bouquet was full and flowery featuring dramatic shades of rich red, raspberry, medium pink and burgundy in a combo of our Passion and Spirit palettes and loaded with garden and standard roses, mokara and cymbidium orchids and calla lillies.
View the entire wedding here.

The Sentimental Bridal Bouquet ...
The colour palette for this bouquet features muted tones of soft purples, greens, blush, soft white and champagne ... a very modern vintage 'Anthropologie' type feel.
Beth's bridal bouquet wins the award for the most sentimental bouquet of 2011 ... the antique lace we wrapped around the stem of her bouquet was part of her mother's own wedding dress. As well, the gold heart locket wrapped around the stem was given to Beth by her father before he passed away earlier in the year.
Taking parts of the past into a new future ... it's heart warming! :)

Stay tuned for parts 2 and 3 ... coming soon!

After all the craziness of the last month, we're happy to return you to your regularly scheduled program!
If you're just joining us, we're in the middle of sharing some of our favourite bouquets that came out of the Studio last wedding season.
Without further adieu, please enjoy the next installment in our 'Best Bride's Bouquets of 2010' blog series!
Spring is just a week away!!!

Above: 'Bliss' is a favourite palette of ours ... if you like these bouquets, you'll love our 'Bliss at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co.' creative photoshoot!
Below: 'Breeze' has been a huge hit with brides ... in this example, soft purples and pinks rule the day!

This bride's and bridesmaid's bouquet feature our 'Glow' palette of melt-in-your-mouth buttery yellow goodness!

The intense bold red hues of 'Passion' are featured in this bouquet ... those orchids are pretty much beyond words in their gorgeousness.

Mary + Dan were married in the lovely old stone Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery overlooking the vineyard with the Niagara Escarpment in the distance ... breathtakingly beautiful!
Mary's colour palette was a Forest meets Charm mash-up ... the main focus was white and ivory with just a little splash of blush for colour! We used white mini callas, orchids, freesia, sahara roses, blackberries, blushing bride, dianthus and event some antique green hydrangeas and clematis vine from our studio organic cutting garden!

Bronwen + Mark and their guests had a glorious chance to 'experience' the Good Earth Food and Wine Co. for themselves! The couple were married amongst the vast gardens on the property and later celebrated in upscale garden party fashion with delicious delectables including wood-fired roasted pork and ... an oyster bar!
Working with an organic and natural feeling green and white 'Forest' palette, we designed Bronwen's bridal bouquet using peonies and we 'garnished' it with various cuttings from our organic gardens here at the Studio ... including lady's mantle, astilbe, fern fronds, mulberry springs and oregano.

1 February 2011
We're back from the sunny south and happy to be sharing the next installment in our 'Best Wedding Bouquets of 2010 blog series!
We hope that you're enjoying this recap as much as we are ... it's fun for us to look back and have a little surprise memory of a beautiful wedding that we were lucky to be a part of.
We're feverishly booking for 2011 and still have enough room left for you!
So, drop us an email ... we'd just love to hear from you!
For Kristin + Ryan's wedding, we were excited again to work at two of our favourite venues ... Queen's Landing and St. Mark's Anglican Church. Two amazing venues for an equally amazing couple!! We were working some fantastic late summer blooms to pull off a sophisticated, yet romantic and classic feel ...

The coordinating bridesmaid's bouquets ...

We simply adore St. Mark's Church ... this beautiful old-stone church dates back over 200 years ... a lot of history here. Not just a history of religion or love ... but of the founding of Canada!

We hope Ryan doesn't mind us posting this pic of him holding Kristin's bouquet ... he was busy assisting her into the car and walked off with her bouquet ... so cute!
Melissa + Matt's Niagara nuptials took place among the beautiful vineyards of the Beamsville Bench in the Cave Spring Vineyard Retreat ... the always lovely 'Glow' was the colour palette du jour! This closeup of the bride's bouquet gives you a good idea of the colour palette we were working with ... soft and mellow yellows, ivory and champagne!

The girls looked amazing in their pewter dresses and cobalt blue shoes!

Sarah + Sumit celebrated their nuptials outdoors in Niagara's wine country at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. in Lincoln. If you're a regular reader of the blog, you already know how much we love The Good Earth ... a little slice of heaven on earth! The colour palette ... rich reds, deep burgundies, passionate pinks ... lovin' it!

The matching bridesmaid's bouquet ... also very yummy!

Carolyn + Mike's Niagara on the Lake wedding celebration was held at the Pillar and Post, with the wedding ceremony taking place upstairs in The Gallery room followed by cocktails and a lovely dinner reception downstairs in the Upper Canada room. We love the rustic charm of this warm and inviting property nestled right in the heart the village, just a couple of steps off the beaten path The purple Vanda orchids and Schwarzwalder callas in Carolyn's bouquet were unbelievable!

We designed a few different bouquets for the bridesmaids ...
