It was so satisfying to finally bring all the deliciousness of Francesca + Ryan's wedding to life this weekend after working the better part of a year with the couple (who are soooo AWESOME) and Melissa from One Fine Day Event Planning to dream it up and give it legs!!!
One thing you need to know about Francesca + Ryan ... they put an incredible amount of creative energy into their big day ... this might actually be a bit of an understatment! From the custom wedding stationery (designed and printed by Ryan) to the wedding cake (designed and created by Francesca) they were beyond knee-deep in the details.
We crafted all the florals and provided design and theme consulting for things like the vintage details, outdoor lounge (kudos to The Warehouse) and room decor as well!
The end result was simply amazing ... and not just because of the details, but because these two love-birds finally said "I do" ... as they were meant too all along.

We custom sewed the linen for their sweetheart table!

Each reception centerpiece was unique ranging in palette from white to soft sand and light peach through to soft tangerine and apricot.

Francesca + Ryan are very serious about sweets! Francesca created her own amazing wedding cake ... and the home-baked goods abounded ... plentifully! (Confessional Moment: we sampled a few!)

Francesca + Ryan ... we wish you many blessings in your marriage journey ... we feel very priviledged to have been to help kick it off!!

This weekend we gathered up the Mimosa Team and headed up the 400 to King City for Chloe + Herbert's wedding ceremony and reception at the lovely King Valley Golf Club.
Confessional moment: We'd never heard of King City before now ... but that's some gorgeous country up there!
We absolutely love colour and so does Chloe ... so we punched it up a notch and took full advantage of a palette featuring intense shades of cobalt blue, magenta, deep pink, deep purple and fucshia tones.
Our chuppah canopy was just dripping with loads of vanda and mokara orchids, the venue was draped in silvery linens and the bridesmaids rocked it in pretty blue patterned dresses with black ruffled boleros!
To accomplish this rich and romantic look, we used plenty of dazzling Yves Paiget garden roses, deep purple vanda orchids, hydrangea blooms in blue and purple as well as purple mokaras ... virtually no foliage anywhere!

Our beautiful bride Chloe was accompanied down the aisle by her dad ... check out that dress! Sigh.

We layered orchid stems to create dripping panicles of blooms on our chuppah/canopy frame ... they almost look like wisteria!

The centrepieces at the reception were a mix of short full florals (flanked with tall glass candlesticks and swirl glass vessels) and tall full florals perched a top a vase with submersed purple vanda orchids!

The coolest idea ever .... hire a caricature artist to hang out with your wedding guests for a couple of hours during cocktails!!!

We wish Chloe + Herbert every blessing in their marriage journey ... it was such a pleasure to design the flowers for your wedding day!!!

What a weekend for love!!! The weather was near perfect, the venues and vendors we worked with were amazing and, if you don't mind us saying, the flowers were fantastic as well!! ;)
Calgarians Andrea + Jeff were married in the Rose Garden at Pillar and Post and later that evening hosted a celebratory dinner reception in the Grand Georgian Ballroom at Queen's Landing in Niagara on the Lake ... two fine choices indeed!
Andrea's colour palette was a version of our Shade palette augmented with accents of grey/pewter and featuring hits of chocolate and deep purply burgundy ... cool, refreshing, upscale gardeny look with attitude! Thanks to Andrea + Jeff for indulging our passion for their wedding flowers ... best wishes!!!
Andrea's bouquet featured some cascading Amaranthus and we hand-tied in the lace detailing on the stem. The bouquet also featured raspberry, mint, lavender and fern fronds from our organic cutting gardens here at the studio!

The wedding ceremony in the Rose Garden at Pillar and Post featured our Grapevine Arbour, Shepherd's Hooks lining the aisle (with rose petals!) and twin oversized floral arrangements flanking the altar area.

Lately we're loving how Parasols are showing up at the wedding ceremony ... form and function!

The wedding party looked totally amazing ... tried our best to get some good photos, but had to dance around both the official photographer and the cinematographers!!

And finally our modelicious bride Andrea and her father ... about to escort her down the aisle!!

In the Grand Georgian Ballroom, we created a birch and willow canopy under which the head table was placed ... all lit up with soft glowing lantern and flood lights, it was ammmmmazing ... wish we coulda dined under there!

The guest tables featured our full floral centerpieces with Simply Beautiful Décor providing the crystal globe lanterns, chargers, linens and chiavari chairs.

In the Atrium (which was the cocktail area) under the giant chandelier we created this big conversation piece from cork, large slabs of walnut tree, willow and a plethora of flowers and candlelight!

These absolutely delicious cupcakes and wedding cake were designed by the talented team at Vineyard Sweets ... as beautiful to taste as they are to look at!

This past weekend we participated in the Vintage Hotels Wedding Show once again ... it's the only show we're doing this year and it was a lot of fun! We design a lot of Niagara on the Lake weddings at the Vintage Hotels each season ... we love working with Stephanie, Jennifer, Savannah, Peggy, Karen and all the amazing staff at Queen's Landing, Pillar and Post and Prince of Wales Hotels!
Aside from meeting new clients at the show, an important part of the day for us is connecting with the many talented Niagara wedding professionals that gather annually at this show. We're so proud to be associated with such a talented pool of wedding vendors!
This year, our booth featured our 'Glow' colour palette under our canopy in the Grand Georgian Ballroom at Queen's Landing. Glow is a sunny and mellow yellow, lemon and vanilla palette that our brides are loving!
Here's our booth ... one of the many incarnations of our Canopy / Mandap / Chuppah! We constructed our canopy with birch logs and fabric and then covered it with a thatched roof of wispy curly willow and ruscus foliage. Thanks to Simply Beautiful Décor for the linen covering our table!

We did samples of three different bride's bouquets in the 'Glow' palette ... I love the custom button detailing on these! Everybody wondered what the little yellow 'ball' flowers were ... they're mimosa!

We created these 'birch log candles' out of some left over pieces of birch log we had kicking around the studio ...

We tucked a few of these cute little succulents and hens 'n chicks into the nooks and crannies ...

We incorporated a couple of our custom Shepherd's Hooks at the corners ... these are a favourite for use as aisle décor at wedding ceremonies!
