Bride and Groom, Lori + Roy, are creative, theatrical types ... we were hooked when she shared her ideas for a 'speakeasy' inspired affair that took cues from the prohibition era of the 1920's and early 1930's!
To garner inspiration, we dreamed about bird cages and nests, shoeshine boys, cigar & cigarettes, crooked gamblers, bobby cops and The Cotton Club!
We designed in bold colours (black, white, red) and florals that were feminine and textural (black and ivory lace in layers) ... garden roses, orchids, dahlias.

Complete with bird cage veil, fascinators, Marcel Wave and bob updos these flapper styled ladies looked amazing! So did the fellas ... all decked out in top hats and tails!

Cheers and best wishes to Lori + Roy ... we had a lot of fun designing for your Wedding Day!!

Rebecca + Mark currently reside in Toronto and made Niagara-on-the-Lake their destination wedding location this past weekend!
After tying the knot at the gorgeous St. Mark's Anglican Church in lovely downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake, Rebecca + Mark invited their guests to celebrate with them in the Grand Georgian Ballroom at Queen's Landing just around the corner! The two venues are so close, it's just a short walk in the shade of the beautiful overhead tree canopy!
For Rebecca + Mark's reception, we designed tall, elegant romantic centrepieces that were full and flowery featuring shades of rich red, raspberry, medium pink and burgundy in a combo of our Passion and Spirit palettes. The ballroom was loaded with peony blooms, garden and standard roses, hydrangeas, mokara orchids, callas and amaranthus.
Rebecca's gorgeous bride's bouquet … loving those garden roses so much!!!

The lovely ladies looking mighty fine!

St. Mark's is such a goregous old church ... a couple of wreaths on the doors is about all it needs outside!!

Rebecca is a stunning beauty ... what a gorgeous bride!

The reception centrepieces in the Grand Georgian Ballroom at Queen's Landing were a mix of tall full floral pieces and some with curly willow and mokara orchids tied-in ...

This weekend we assembled the Team and hit the road for a chance to work with coordinator Machel Reeves again and stage the flowers for Dana + Anthony's wedding reception at Toronto's famous Granite Club (sidebar ... The Granite Club is one of Toronto's oldest and largest private athletic country clubs ... stunning interior spaces replete with art gallery!).
To achieve Dana + Anthony's 'look', we worked with a bold palette of pink, magenta and deep raspberry mokara orchids and garden roses offset with antique green and crisp snow-white hydrangeas. These mono-botanical arrangements still managed to maintain a really soft feel to them ... even with all the squeaky clean glass and symmetrical lines.
Our best wishes go out to Dana + Anthony ... cheers to love, life and wedded bliss!!!

We designed two bouquets for our bride Dana ... one was more soft blush pinks the other was bold and beautiful hues of deep pink and magenta. She loved them both! In the end, Dana opted to carry the bold and beautiful bouquet down the aisle ... coordinator Machel texted us from the ceremony to give us the scoop!!!

Bride's Bouquet No. 2 ... a softer, more classic feel.

The bridesmaids bouquets ...

The Grand Ballroom at The Granite Club is a large space with high ceilings ... the height of these centerpieces helps to make the space more intimate and 'bring the ceiling down', as it were.

We absolutely love, love, love Niagara winery weddings … and you can't go wrong celebrating your wedding at Inn on the Twenty on Main St. in Jordan Village! Megan and Tim were married on Saturday afternoon just down the street at St. John's Anglican Church ... a gorgeous and stately 160 year old stone church with as much history as our country itself!
The colour palette for the day was our cheerful ‘Glow’ featuring shades of yellow, white and punctuated with shots of fresh green. We used garden roses, orchids and camomile to achieve the look!
The bride’s 'Glow' themed yellow bouquet …

The bridesmaid's bouquet ... love the fabric detailing that we created by using a piece of the fabric Megan's mom had sewn for use as overlays!

The beautiful St. John's Church halfway up the Niagara escarpment in Jordan ...

A couple of our signature ceremony arrangements flanked the altar ...

Our custom Shepherd's Hooks are flexible enough to be used along the church aisle or at the entrance ... inside or out!

Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great ... but our bride and groom made the most of it! Aren't the flower girls adorable with their chic little parasols?!?!?

Best wishes to Megan and Tim as they begin their married life together … thanks for letting us be part of your day!
