We've had the privilege of participating in a number of photo and video shoots and having backstage access at a production is pretty darn cool! Over the years, we've been fortunate enough to work with such magazines as WedLuxe, Wedding Bells and the LCBO's Food & Drink as well as the TV Show 'I Do, Let's Eat'.
We're always amazed at what goes on behind the scenes to produce those magnificent images that we all like to drool over! Frankly, It's a heck of a lot of hard work and organization!!!
No doubt, having had the opportunity to participate in a shoot is a blast ... but, we've had the itch to produce our own images for some time now. So, this past fall we finally threw ourselves headlong into designing and producing our very own suite of exclusive images!!!
Aside from the actual production design, the most mission critical choices we made concerned our choice of production partners. We are blessed to know and work with some amazing artists in Niagara ... three of which worked closely with us on this project and deserve an extra special 'Thanks'!
Big props go to ...
Jessica and Teresa of ALLURE Hair and Makeup ... the dynamic duo behind the Niagara Region's best wedding and event mobile hair and makeup services. These girls took good care of our models and made them even more 'modelicious'. Jess even came back early from Fashion Week in NYC to personally be on set for two days!
The crazy creative genius that is Mike Enns (of Enns Visuals) who brought cinematic vision to our static scenes! Although his business is young, Mike has been making creative video shorts for years and years ... we were excited to be one of his first projects under his new banner. Mike is a very flexible guy and brings so much passion to what he does ... you can literally feel it in his work.
Last, but definitely not least, we couldn't have pulled this off without the uber talented Nataschia Wielink (Niagara wedding photographer extraordinaire!), who collaborated closely with us and even ran a little model search on her blog to get our fresh faces for the shoot! We've been extolling Nataschia's photographic virtues for years ... and one look at her amazing images will tell you why! Nataschia's gift is evident in her ability to capture the emotions and feelings of a moment ... perfectly.
It's so great to be good friends with colleagues in our industry ... we're thankful for this bunch of creative daredevils that we get to work with!
Thanks also to Angelica Sala of Simply Beautiful Decor (linens and chiavari chairs), Ellen Steen of About a Bride (bridal gowns), Nicolette Novak of The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. (Day 1 location) and Nino Donatelli of the Stone Mill Inn (Day 2 location).
Here are a few 'behind the scenes' pictures and stay tuned for more goodness to come later this year!

Check out Nataschia's amazing photos of each of our 5 'scenes' ... Bliss at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co., Passion at Stone Mill Inn, At First Blush, High Tea at Stone Mill Inn and Al Fresco at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co.

You can watch the final cut of Mike's video on our blog ... here.

Stay tuned for more goodness to come!

In September we spent three days producing a suite of five different 'scenes' to inspire and excite you about all the dreamy possibilities for your wedding ... we're over the moon to finally be able to share them with you!
For this outdoor scene, we first selected The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. as our location because we love it so much! Then we paired 'Bliss', (one of our all-time fave colour palettes!) with 'Twiggy' (one of our newest collections) and voila ... absolute perfection!
Twiggy inspired elements include our fabulous cork logs, the coca-cola coloured bubbled glass and funky wooden acacia balls. Florals include garden roses, orchids, dahlias, hydrangea, red skimmia and pink pepperberries.
We're so in love with the modern vintage flair of these pictures!

In September we spent three days producing a suite of five different 'scenes' to inspire and excite you about all the dreamy possibilities for your wedding ... we're over the moon to finally be able to share them with you!
This al fresco dining scene shot on location at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. features our wonderful 'Forest' colour palette teamed up with elements from our 'Earth' collection.
We focused on local, seasonal flowers including delphiniums, dahlias, astilbe, hydrangea, Queen Anne's lace, camomile and grasses displayed in some of our apothecary glassware.
We love, love, love our model's polka dot dress ... so fun and flirty!

We're back from the sunny south and happy to be sharing the next installment in our 'Best Wedding Bouquets of 2010 blog series!
We hope that you're enjoying this recap as much as we are ... it's fun for us to look back and have a little surprise memory of a beautiful wedding that we were lucky to be a part of.
We're feverishly booking for 2011 and still have enough room left for you!
So, drop us an email ... we'd just love to hear from you!
For Kristin + Ryan's wedding, we were excited again to work at two of our favourite venues ... Queen's Landing and St. Mark's Anglican Church. Two amazing venues for an equally amazing couple!! We were working some fantastic late summer blooms to pull off a sophisticated, yet romantic and classic feel ...

The coordinating bridesmaid's bouquets ...

We simply adore St. Mark's Church ... this beautiful old-stone church dates back over 200 years ... a lot of history here. Not just a history of religion or love ... but of the founding of Canada!

We hope Ryan doesn't mind us posting this pic of him holding Kristin's bouquet ... he was busy assisting her into the car and walked off with her bouquet ... so cute!
Melissa + Matt's Niagara nuptials took place among the beautiful vineyards of the Beamsville Bench in the Cave Spring Vineyard Retreat ... the always lovely 'Glow' was the colour palette du jour! This closeup of the bride's bouquet gives you a good idea of the colour palette we were working with ... soft and mellow yellows, ivory and champagne!

The girls looked amazing in their pewter dresses and cobalt blue shoes!

Sarah + Sumit celebrated their nuptials outdoors in Niagara's wine country at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. in Lincoln. If you're a regular reader of the blog, you already know how much we love The Good Earth ... a little slice of heaven on earth! The colour palette ... rich reds, deep burgundies, passionate pinks ... lovin' it!

The matching bridesmaid's bouquet ... also very yummy!

Carolyn + Mike's Niagara on the Lake wedding celebration was held at the Pillar and Post, with the wedding ceremony taking place upstairs in The Gallery room followed by cocktails and a lovely dinner reception downstairs in the Upper Canada room. We love the rustic charm of this warm and inviting property nestled right in the heart the village, just a couple of steps off the beaten path The purple Vanda orchids and Schwarzwalder callas in Carolyn's bouquet were unbelievable!

We designed a few different bouquets for the bridesmaids ...
