Christina + George tied the knot in an afternoon wedding ceremony in the Atrium at Queen's Landing in lovely downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake! Afterward, guests were invited for evening cocktails and to celebrate with them in the Imperial Ballroom over dinner!
Pale tones of blush and ivory with accents of pale peach, light creamy yellow and pale lavender were all in the colour palette for the day. A very modern vintage / English garden theme featuring lace, chargers, brown chiavari chairs, mercury and clear footed glass.
Blooms included peonies (of course!!!), roses, delphiniums, lilacs, ranunculus and ... wait for it ... baby's breath! Yup, it's baaack.

We had a ton of fun designing the ceremony in the Atrium ... the couple provided the oh-so-cute Hers & His night tables that we incorporated.

The centrepieces were a mix of short full floral compotes (flanked by our Dutz glass candlesticks with ivory pillar candles) and tall Venture glassware capped with a full floral underlaid with mercury glass votives.

This weekend we travelled up the 400 to the little town of Port Carling in Muskoka Lakes to work with Anne Anderson Events on Lindsay + Will's wedding at Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club!
Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club opened 90 years ago in 1922 and today members can reserve the waterfront Clubhouse for private parties and weddings ... needless to say, the view was spectacular! (The Clubhouse is built right out over the water and is totally surrounded by glass!)
The look and feel for the day was what you might call 'Upscale Muskoka' ... cottage resort glamour with varied organic and natural elements such as jute, cork, willow, barnboard/wood and glass.
The colour palette for the reception space was ivory, pale blush, deep olive green, slate grey and medium pink. We had a separate colour palette for the outdoor signature drink bar area which featured green, white and pale yellow.

The bride and bridesmaid's bouquets ...

The gorgeous Windermere United Church ... Lindsay + Will tied the knot here!

This rockin' Signature Drink Bar was custom made from barnboard by the fine folks at Hazlitt Vintage Rentals!

We created and installed a couple of massive 12ft tall trees spanning the space where the wedding cake would later sit and helping to divide the lounge area from the dance floor/band space.

Blooms included garden roses, lisianthus, hydrangea, dahlias, lamb's ear, ranunculus and absolute ton of our 'gardeny bits' including raspberry foliage, mint, geranium and bloomed-out clematis vine. Moss and succulents also made an appearance!

Textural elements and containers included cork, mint julep, glass, mason jars and green glass bottles.

Congratulations again Lindsay + Will ... it was a pleasure to design the flowers for your beautiful wedding!!

Kendra + Chris were married outdoors in the hazy vineyards of Cave Spring Cellars on the Beamsville Bench nestled in the Niagara Escarpment!
We designed their florals primarily in white and soft green with accents of caramel, soft blush and soft lavender using annabelle and peegee hydrangeas, dahlias, lisianthus and various gardeny cuttings from our Studio's organic gardens.
We paired our florals with a host of textural elements including long barnboard pieces, mason jars and curly willow all on a lacey overlay over oyster hued linen. Soft, vintage and natural.
We worked with The Warehouse to bring in various antique and casual elements to complete the look!
Thanks to Nat – the oh-so-talented image guru – at Nataschia Wielink Photo + Cinema for these images that captured the day to perfection!

We're so excited to finally share the latest film project we've just finished ... we call it 'Made with Love' !!!
While we were dreaming this all up, we became focused on some specific words and phrases such as ... 'local', 'heirloom', 'hand-made', 'authentic', 'community', 'nature', 'living in the moment' ... we followed our heart and really let these words become our mantra to guide us through this project.
Be sure to check out the Made with Love Project photos as well.

On most creative projects like this one, many, many hours are spent crafting a space to perfection so as to be pristinely captured for publication and then, quicker than it went up, it's all torn down and packed away and everyone runs back to their busy lives! There's something that just feels wrong about that ... so, this time around, we felt it was really important that those involved get to enjoy the fruits of our labour and share the joy of the moment! So, at the end of day with all of our hard work behind us, we invited a few friends to join us as we sat down for dinner + drinks!
At it's heart, Made with Love is a story about beauty, friendship, connection and kindred spirits ... it's a story that is about more than just a theme or colour scheme ... it’s about more than a schedule of events or formalities and pretense.
Certainly it's about engaging the senses and creating a setting full of discovery and beauty ... but it’s also about all of the little details that have a way of bringing people closer together to celebrate our togetherness!
This story was Made with Love and the creative gifts of a few good friends ...

The Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery was the absolute perfect space to spill our creative juices ... have we ever told you how much we love, love, love Vineland Estates Winery??
We've probably mentioned it ...

Chef Justin created the most delish menu for our dinner ...
• Seared Lake Erie Pickerel, Sous Vide Peaches, Icewine & White Peach Puree
• Mini Cumbrae Sirloin Burger, Caramelized Onion, Grilled Peach, Double Smoked Bacon
• Roasted Peach Tart, Upper Canada Ricotta, Nectarine Sorbet, Niagara Peach Salsa

The talented duo of ladies at Vineyard Sweets perfectly captured the 'Made with Love' essence ... all the intricated and delicate made-from-scratch details!

Dinner with friends on an early autumn night in Niagara's wine country ... is there anything finer?
