We're so excited to finally share the latest film project we've just finished ... we call it 'Made with Love' !!!
While we were dreaming this all up, we became focused on some specific words and phrases such as ... 'local', 'heirloom', 'hand-made', 'authentic', 'community', 'nature', 'living in the moment' ... we followed our heart and really let these words become our mantra to guide us through this project.
Be sure to check out the Made with Love Project photos as well.

On most creative projects like this one, many, many hours are spent crafting a space to perfection so as to be pristinely captured for publication and then, quicker than it went up, it's all torn down and packed away and everyone runs back to their busy lives! There's something that just feels wrong about that ... so, this time around, we felt it was really important that those involved get to enjoy the fruits of our labour and share the joy of the moment! So, at the end of day with all of our hard work behind us, we invited a few friends to join us as we sat down for dinner + drinks!
At it's heart, Made with Love is a story about beauty, friendship, connection and kindred spirits ... it's a story that is about more than just a theme or colour scheme ... it’s about more than a schedule of events or formalities and pretense.
Certainly it's about engaging the senses and creating a setting full of discovery and beauty ... but it’s also about all of the little details that have a way of bringing people closer together to celebrate our togetherness!
This story was Made with Love and the creative gifts of a few good friends ...

The Carriage House at Vineland Estates Winery was the absolute perfect space to spill our creative juices ... have we ever told you how much we love, love, love Vineland Estates Winery??
We've probably mentioned it ...

Chef Justin created the most delish menu for our dinner ...
• Seared Lake Erie Pickerel, Sous Vide Peaches, Icewine & White Peach Puree
• Mini Cumbrae Sirloin Burger, Caramelized Onion, Grilled Peach, Double Smoked Bacon
• Roasted Peach Tart, Upper Canada Ricotta, Nectarine Sorbet, Niagara Peach Salsa

The talented duo of ladies at Vineyard Sweets perfectly captured the 'Made with Love' essence ... all the intricated and delicate made-from-scratch details!

Dinner with friends on an early autumn night in Niagara's wine country ... is there anything finer?

Andrea came to us about her nuptials at Vineland Estates Winery ... to design and execute the florals and decor she would need for her intimate wedding of just 11 guests plus the bride and groom!!! We had soooooo much fun!!
Here's a fun fact: Andrea's a wee bit famous! You might have seen her on Law & Order, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds and Blue Bloods ... or you might know her best as Dennis Leary's ex Janet Gavin on Rescue Me. Andrea is originally from Southern Ontario and she flew back to Niagara from LA to tie the knot with her producer fiancé, Todd Biermann.
We went for a romantic and natural look and feel in mainly white with touches of lavender and some silver foliage. There was lots of variety in shapes and textures and the shades of white and ivory.
Flowers included lavender foliage, white hydrangeas, white tuberose, white calla lilies, garden roses, white dahlia, freesia and white lisianthus.
It was a very relaxed day with the afternoon ceremony taking place out in the vineyards (it's grape harvest time right now and it smells so great!) followed by a 7 course dinner in the Carriage House prepared by Executive Chef Justin Downes.
Unfortunately, due to Andrea's fame, we're unable to show you any pictures of her ... but she's gorgeous!! Here is Andrea's bridal bouquet ...

And the co-ordinating bridesmaid's bouquet ...

Have we ever mentioned how much we love Vineland Estates? I think so ...

We designed a 14ft long tablescape featuring a stunning 'cloud' of silvery foliages, white flowers and an absolute ton of the cutest little hanging glass lanterns hovering above the table!

The toad lillies are in full bloom right now ... we plucked a few from our organic cutting garden to put in Andrea's centrepieces!

You're wondering what's inside? Tasty Vineland Estates Icewine Chocolate Truffles!!!

Beth + Adam were wed in an outdoor Niagara winery wedding on a breezy and cool September Sunday afternoon! After the ceremony, guests were invited to an evening dinner reception in the converted barn at Hernder Estate Winery in St. Catharines. The winery’s barn is a grand structure of stone, wood and glass and lends a very rustic feel to a wedding celebration in Niagara’s wine country
Beth's colour palette for the big day featured muted tones of soft purples, greens, blush, soft white and champagne ... a very modern vintage 'Anthropologie' type feel.
We design the florals using roses, hydrangeas (purple, annabelle and antique), dahlias, lisianthus and all kinds of gardeny bits such as sedum 'autumn joy', mint, herbs, lavender foliage. Other textural and off-the-beaten-path elements included succulents, cork bark, various wooden 'slices', canning jars and burlap runners (provided by the bride).
Beth's bridal bouquet wins the award for the most sentimental bouquet of 2011 ... the antique lace we wrapped the stem of her bouquet in was part of her mother's own wedding dress. As well, the gold heart locket wrapped around the stem was given to Beth by her father before he passed away earlier this year. Taking parts of the past into a new future ... it's heart warming! :)

Each of the full floral table centrepieces was designed in a different vintage or antique vessel and was surrounded by brightly lit votive candles in canning jars!
