Joyce + Jon were married in an outdoor wedding ceremony on the edge of the vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake at Stratus ... which, if you've never been, is a MUST visit when in Niagara's wine country!
From the way it was built to the way it operates every day, Stratus Vineyards is one of the world’s most sustainable wineries and became the first fully LEED-certified winery in the world in 2005. From their four-storey gravity based tank elevator to their 1000 barrel above ground cellar, Stratus is truly a facilty that is a work of art, as much as the wine it produces!!!
We were excited to design the florals and the space in the Press Gallery at Stratus along one 75ft long communal table ... such a magnificent structural, raw and elemental modern space that would be juxtaposed against living elements that are natural, local and organic in look and feel.
Working with a palette that consisted of white, ivory, butter, natural green and muted gold, we designed the florals using roses, white mums, green apples, textural grasses (millet, flowey ditch grasses, roadsidia), dahlias, green/white hydrangeas and fun foliages from our cutting gardens including mint and raspberry foliage.
Each of the three enormously tall 'twiggy' trees was covered in over 2000 orchid blooms and were absolutely dripping with candlelight providing a soft glow to warm up the reception space after dark.

If you've been following us for a while, you know that we absolutely love colour ... so we were pretty excited to take full advantage of a palette featuring shades of purple, magenta, orchid and blush tones for Ruby + Ty's Niagara-on-the-Lake wedding at Queen's Landing.
We employed very seasonal flowers such as tulips and muscari and combined them with lushious english garden roses, super-stunning Vanda orchids and loads of mokara orchid sprays ... just dripping with beauty!

Ruby was all smiles ... it was contagious! She looked oh-so fabulous ...

The reception centerpieces were half tall full-florals perched a top a glistening glass vase and half short full-florals flanked by twin glass candlesticks.

Ruby + Ty ... we wish you every blessing in your marriage journey ... it was such a pleasure to design the flowers for your wedding day!!!

We just had to share some pics from an intimate wedding we designed for Cailee + Douglas ... we love the deep red, crimson and merlot colours layered on top of black lace and saphire blue of the girl's dresses way too much!!
The wedding ceremony took place in the afternoon at the Rose Garden at Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Guests gathered later in the Old Library to celebrate with Cailee + Douglas over drinks and a dinner reception!
The flowers we designed with consisted of garden roses, orchids and dahlias ... that's it! What a luscious, bold and textural palette ... so much fun!
Here's Cailee's mesmerizing bridal bouquet ... definitely one of our favourites from this year!

Love, love, love Cailee's *red* wedding dress!!!

The bridesmaids wore lovely sapphire blue dresses ...

For the intimate dinner reception, our wrought iron twiggy trees were all covered in red mokara orchids and basked in the candlelit glow of hanging glass lanterns!

Michelle + Shawn tied the knot in an afternoon wedding ceremony in the Atrium at Queen's Landing in lovely downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake! Later on, guests were invited back for evening cocktails and to celebrate with them in the Imperial Ballroom over dinner!
Deep purple, rose, champagne, burgundy and muted magenta were all in the colour palette for the day. A very modern vintage theme featuring classic glassware and pewter accents such as our hammered-rim votive holders, pewter linens and silver chiavari chairs.
Blooms included purple vandas, dazzling dahilias, roses, picasso callas, white and antique green hydrangeas, curly willow and toad lily plucked straight from our studio's organic cutting gardens!

The centrepieces at the reception in the Imperial Ballroom featured our classic glassware with a full floral arrangement at the top. Soft and romantic ... with few purple vanda orchids submersed in water and pewter rimmed votive candles at the base of each. Pewter linens and chiavari chairs by Simply Beautiful Décor.

A half-dozen of our twiggy lanterns were positioned around the Imperial Ballroom to add to the vintage charm ...

Alicia + Andrew celebrated their Niagara-on-the-Lake nuptials with an outdoor wedding ceremony in the Miller House garden this past weekend. Later that evening, they invited their guests to a dinner reception just a hop and a skip up the road in Upper Canada Hall at Pillar and Post, one of Niagara-on-the-Lake's premier hotel and spa destinations!
Alicia's colour palette featured 'Breeze' in various shades of purple from pale and muted tones to medium with a hit of deep purple and a little bit of deep burgundy in the foliages. We added just the slightest touch of ivory as well. Classic and soft!
The flowers consisted of mainly purple and white hydrangeas and roses, spray roses, smokebush, deep purple vanda orchids and, yep, purple carnations! That's right ... you can call it a comeback!
Alicia's bouquet soft and romantic bouquet ...

These two were so cute! Flower girls just make you wanna smile!!!

Alicia and her dad making their way down the aisle ...

The well-treed and shaded Miller House garden is a great little gem of a place for an outdoor wedding ceremony right smack-dab in the middle of Niagara-on-the-Lake!

Back at Upper Canada Hall in Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake ... our centrepieces for Alicia + Andrew consisted of a mix of short full florals (flanked by a pair of glass and floating candlelit vessels) and tall florals with green grapes ... continuing on with the wine/vineyard theme!
