This wedding was featured in WedLuxe magazine!
Raewyn + Charlie's wedding was held on her family's private horse farm at the base of the Blue Mountains on a perfect early summer day in June!
We had soooo much fun working with Crystal (Distinct Occasions) and Paras (Design 2 Decor) to put together this elegant and organic feeling landscape-inspired gem!!!
This wedding was chock full of pale pastels ... lavender, blush, butter, ivory, soft green ... and seaonal florals including peonies, garden roses, delphiniums, lavender, herb and fern plants, moss, lily of the valley, succulents, lisianthus, clematis vine and other tidbits of gardeny goodness!
All the lovely rough luxe details worked to tie the 'look and feel' together ... cork bark, natural wood tables, crystal stemware, custom floral chandelier, co-ordinated oatmeal linens and tent draping and even the custom carpeted flooring and dance floor!
Here are some of our own photos of the day ... enjoy!

We created a couple of enormous 'twiggy trees' (15 ft high) which not only looked fab, they also served to help increase the intimacy of the space by making the ceiling feel a little lower!

We designed a few types of centrepieces ... the first was a a low and lush, landscape-inspired floral for the round tables. There was no visible vessel and they featured ferns, moss, succulents and garden blooms married with cork bark.
The second style of centrepiece was for the long communal tables and featured a continuous landscape of florals and ferns interspersed with candles, succulents and moss stretching along the full length of the tablescape.

Hanging in the centre of the space, the 6ft x 5ft metal and wood base for this jaw-dropping floral chandelier was custom-made by Design 2 Decor and then we infused it with a ton of floral goodness!

We had a lot of fun dreaming up, designing and installing the florals and elements for Sarah + Greg's wedding in The Observatory at Spencer's at the Waterfront in Burlington on the north shore of Lake Ontario!
The Observatory is a relatively new venue with gianormous floor to ceiling glass windows (nearly 20ft high) overlooking Lake Ontario, right on Burlington's revitalized waterfront ... the space and view are magnificent!
Sarah's floral colour palette showcased shades of green, grey, stone, ivory and white in a very natural and organic fashion.
Elements and flowers included birch branches and birch bark, cork, flagstone, moss, succulents, jute, pods, ferns, anemones, antique hydrangea, ranunculus, dusty miller and host of other textural bits and pieces!

The ceiling in The Observatory is amazing, but very, very high ... so we created and installed a couple of nearly 20ft tall 'birch' trees that were covered in moss, succulents and dripping with warm candlelight!

Joyce + Jon were married in an outdoor wedding ceremony on the edge of the vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake at Stratus ... which, if you've never been, is a MUST visit when in Niagara's wine country!
From the way it was built to the way it operates every day, Stratus Vineyards is one of the world’s most sustainable wineries and became the first fully LEED-certified winery in the world in 2005. From their four-storey gravity based tank elevator to their 1000 barrel above ground cellar, Stratus is truly a facilty that is a work of art, as much as the wine it produces!!!
We were excited to design the florals and the space in the Press Gallery at Stratus along one 75ft long communal table ... such a magnificent structural, raw and elemental modern space that would be juxtaposed against living elements that are natural, local and organic in look and feel.
Working with a palette that consisted of white, ivory, butter, natural green and muted gold, we designed the florals using roses, white mums, green apples, textural grasses (millet, flowey ditch grasses, roadsidia), dahlias, green/white hydrangeas and fun foliages from our cutting gardens including mint and raspberry foliage.
Each of the three enormously tall 'twiggy' trees was covered in over 2000 orchid blooms and were absolutely dripping with candlelight providing a soft glow to warm up the reception space after dark.

It was so satisfying to finally bring all the deliciousness of Francesca + Ryan's wedding to life this weekend after working the better part of a year with the couple (who are soooo AWESOME) and Melissa from One Fine Day Event Planning to dream it up and give it legs!!!
One thing you need to know about Francesca + Ryan ... they put an incredible amount of creative energy into their big day ... this might actually be a bit of an understatment! From the custom wedding stationery (designed and printed by Ryan) to the wedding cake (designed and created by Francesca) they were beyond knee-deep in the details.
We crafted all the florals and provided design and theme consulting for things like the vintage details, outdoor lounge (kudos to The Warehouse) and room decor as well!
The end result was simply amazing ... and not just because of the details, but because these two love-birds finally said "I do" ... as they were meant too all along.

We custom sewed the linen for their sweetheart table!

Each reception centerpiece was unique ranging in palette from white to soft sand and light peach through to soft tangerine and apricot.

Francesca + Ryan are very serious about sweets! Francesca created her own amazing wedding cake ... and the home-baked goods abounded ... plentifully! (Confessional Moment: we sampled a few!)

Francesca + Ryan ... we wish you many blessings in your marriage journey ... we feel very priviledged to have been to help kick it off!!
