Every once in a while, it's good to trod down the path less taken ... just to see where it takes you! It's always a bit of a fun little surprise!
We always jump at the chance to flex our creative muscles and design up some funky, fresh, flower arrangements for things like book launch parties, corporate events, tours, fundraisers and the like ... especially when we're given carte blanche.
So ... where to start? Well, in Niagara, we go to the market, of course!!
We'll return to the studio with our mitts chock full of raw 'in season' ingredients like okra, spring onions, jalapeno peppers, swiss chard, potatoes and raddishes ... even eggplant, tomatoes, nectarines and cucumbers have made guest appearances! Then, we proceed to marry our 'foodie finds' with flowers ... as we're wont to do.
The results usually garner lots of attention and conversation over the dinner table ... we've received many, many comments on these particular designs:

We hope you enjoyed a look at the quirky side of things
Although most of these designs wouldn't 'work' in a wedding scenario, it's always possible to incorporate some different and unique elements into our floral designs ... not to much how much fun we have doing it and how much your guests will talk about them!
P.S. > Check out Helen + Steven's wedding at Queen's Landing for how we incorporated pomegranates in their centrepieces!

In September we spent three days producing a suite of five different 'scenes' to inspire and excite you about all the dreamy possibilities for your wedding ... we're over the moon to finally be able to share them with you!
For this outdoor scene, we first selected The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. as our location because we love it so much! Then we paired 'Bliss', (one of our all-time fave colour palettes!) with 'Twiggy' (one of our newest collections) and voila ... absolute perfection!
Twiggy inspired elements include our fabulous cork logs, the coca-cola coloured bubbled glass and funky wooden acacia balls. Florals include garden roses, orchids, dahlias, hydrangea, red skimmia and pink pepperberries.
We're so in love with the modern vintage flair of these pictures!

In September we spent three days producing a suite of five different 'scenes' to inspire and excite you about all the dreamy possibilities for your wedding ... we're over the moon to finally be able to share them with you!
This al fresco dining scene shot on location at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. features our wonderful 'Forest' colour palette teamed up with elements from our 'Earth' collection.
We focused on local, seasonal flowers including delphiniums, dahlias, astilbe, hydrangea, Queen Anne's lace, camomile and grasses displayed in some of our apothecary glassware.
We love, love, love our model's polka dot dress ... so fun and flirty!

Sarah + Sumit celebrated their nuptials outdoors in Niagara's wine country at The Good Earth Food and Wine Co. in Lincoln. If you're a regular reader of the blog, you already know how much we love The Good Earth ... a little slice of heaven on earth!
Sumit's background is Indian and the blending of his and Sarah's cultures is such a beautiful love story. It was an intimate affair that was very big on gorgeous, rich and saturated colour!
Feast your eyes on this colour palette ... it's our 'Passion' with an Indian spin ... plus some gold and copper thrown in for kicks! A perfect late summer palette that's also reflective of Sumit's family heritage.
The colour palette ... rich reds, deep burgundies, passionate pinks ... lovin' it!

The matching bridesmaid's bouquet ... also very yummy!

Our wrought iron Shepherd's Hooks are so versatile ... they look right at home here lining the aisle at Sarah + Summit's wedding ceremony in one of the gardens at The Good Earth.

The reception table centerpieces consisted of a trio of mixed height satellite arrangements in the aforementioned lush and rich hues of red, merlot and burgundy.

Lots of delicious details to love here also ... how cute are these little Jasmine tea and strainer wedding favours!

We wish blessings on Sarah + Sumit as they begin their marriage journey!
